Prime was passing down Broadway, when near Chambers street, her pocket was picked of her portmonnaie, contain ing a check on the Union Bank for $136, which she was going to the bank to have cashed, and some two dollars in money. A little girl who was near her at the time, informed her that she saw a little bey with his hand in her pocket. Mrs. Prime, on discovering her loss, immedi ptely went to the Union Bank and in uned theinof her loss, requesting them n^c to pay the che^k. Whatever company receives the hose will cariy 1,000 feet on their reel, and when used at a fire will alternate them by putting on a supply of leather hose, until the next fire, Ac. On the completion of the repairs the Duke and Duchess attended the celebra tion of mass in the chapel of the con vent, and at .ei wards partook of break fast in the ce'l which the great navigator had occupied. In the cell are paintings executed by order of the Duke, repre senting Columbus begging bread and water at the door of the convent for his son, giving the monks an account of his discoveries, the reading of the royal de cree in the church of Palos, authorising him to raise men and equip vessels for a new voyage, his taking leave of the prior of the convent, and lastly, a full-length portrait of him. Thb Florida Indians.?The steamer Fashion, of New Orle*ns, from Tampa Bay, reports that the troops at Fort Du rand have all been removed to Fort Mey ers on account of sickness. The expedition un^er command of Capt. Pratt to Malco River and Cape Roman had returned to Fort Meyers, saw no Indians.
