LIST OF ?ELEGATE9. Names of Candidates Nominated, Ac., 1c., &c. FIRST DAY'S PROCEEDINGS. The delegates to the State Convention of the National Democracy of New York, of the hard or anti-admlnistra tion (tripe, met at 12 o'clock. M., on Thursday, the 23d, in Wietlng Hall, Syracuse. There lu?d been an informal meeting at 0 o'clock A. M.. in the dining room of the Syracuse House, at which the appointment of temporary officers woe made. No subject of any importance, other than that, was brought on the tapU there. The attendance of dclefntes was very full. The num ber elected waa 128, and there seemed to be about 120 present. They appeared to be a highly Intelligent and .espoctable bodj of men. The meeting was called to or rter by Mr. Lro.v, of Utlca, who proposed the name of Au gustus Schell as temporary chairman. A motion was made to appoint a committee of two to notify Mr. Schell of his appointment as temporary chair man, and to Inform him that the contention was in sec tion. An amendment was moved that that committee report on the 4th of July next. The amendment was insisted on, but voted down, and the original motion was adopted. Mr. Hatikin and Dr. Cooke were appointed such com mittee to wait on Mr. Schell. There being some delay experienced in the coming in Of the chairman, if was moved ^liat another committee be appointed to wait upon lilm and Inform him that the convention was in session. Mr. NAnrw hoped that Mr. Ha<kin and Dr. Cooke would not be deprived or the honor of waiting on Mr. Schell. After a few moments Mr. Sthell entered, and was re ceived with applause. He stated the business in order to lie the appointment of secretaries to the convention. Messrs. John R Nafew, of Albany. andH. P. Wilcox, of Chautauque, were appointed such secretaries. Sickles, of N. V., moved that a committee ot tee from each Judicial district be appointed, to nominate permanent offiocrs of the convention. The point of order was raised that the convention was ?o' v fully organized, as the names of delegate- had no been called.
