C. M. Jacrsoh, Philadelphia?Dear Sir: 1 have been a subject of Dyspepsia, in iu worst f^rm, for the last five years. Such was my condition for twelve months that ihe physicians and all who saw m ?aM I must die. While in this condition, I was carried to the watering places in Virginia, Tennes see and North Carolina, but wa? net benefited by any water to which 1 was taken. While on my way home, I stopped a week at Rntherfortton, a ^mal I village in North Caroluia, to try the effect of I some Chalybeate water in that place. About the !a?t of the week, I went into a drug store to pet some medicine for my ch.ld and myseif. There were several of the village physicians in the store, and one of them seemed to take some interest in my ea?e. and, after asking me some questions, said he hid been a dyspeptic, and had been greatlv bene fitted by the u?e of "Dr. Honfljnd'* German Bit ters," prepared by y~u, and he insisted thai I would try the Bitter# lie aI?o called the aext day at my room, and insisted so much that I would try them tkat r acked him to get me one bottle. He did it, and I commenced taking it as directed, and I do say 1 was more benefitted by it than all the water ami medicine 1 had ever taken. After reaching home one of my neighbors came to me for a prescription and medicine, (he a dyspep tic,) an l i gave him nearly all the Ditters I had left, wmeh effected mnch good in bis case. He has often called "n me for more of the same k nd of medi cine, saying he was uiore benefitted by it than any other he had taken, but 1 have not been able to get any more for him or myself since; will yon, there tore, please ship me a dozen or more as soon a* pos sible.
